Kansas
AIRR alongside other community organizations, canvassed neighborhoods, visited local businesses and mobilized the Wyandotte County community, and after 5 years of hard work and dedication, we PASSED Safe and Welcoming!

Missouri
As part of the Missouri Immigration Policy Coalition, AIRR has been working with organizations across the state to remove language from the Missouri Budget Bill that prevents non-citizen students from accessing in-state tuition, and to pay the international rate or highest rate available at public higher education institutions. Tuition is already expensive, this law makes it virtually impossible for undocumented, dacamented or even migrant students with parents on work visas, to access in-state tuition in Missouri even if they have graduated from MO high schools and have lived in the state virtually their whole life.

Advocacy Day 2023
In February we took students from Guadalupe Centers High School to speak to legislators about tuition access and how they are affected by the language in the budget bill. Legislators got to hear first hand from students and understand the need for an in-state tuition law passed in Missouri.
